Some of you may recall that once upon a time a tiny wren used to live in the Poppy Treffry studio and could occasionally be seen perched on top of a sewing machine.

Poppy's embroidered wren was created as a starting point for our Garden birds collection but also as a stitched homage to that little fellow (who moved out a long time ago...)

This piece is stitched by Poppy on her vintage Singer sewing machine. The slightly unpredictable nature of drawing in stitch means that the lines have a naive quality to them.

This piece is a one-off original.
