The 1924 Kansas City Monarchs were one of the best baseball teams ever assembled and were named the champions of the Negro National League with a 57-22 record. Led by Bullet Rogan, Newt Joseph, Heavy Johnson, and William Bell, the Monarchs won the first Negro World Series ever held.
